NEW DELHI: The much-anticipated and heavily rumored OnePlus 2 is to make its debut July 27. Unlike other OEMs, the company has revealed a slew of cutting-edge configurations that are part of the upcoming OnePlus One successor. To top it off, the company has now released a short video teaser of the upcoming device.

OnePlus has uploaded a teaser video in YouTube where a OnePlus enthusiast talks about favorite features on the OnePlus 2. Before watching a teaser video, one would expect the company to give away key information about the upcoming device either directly or indirectly. But this video is something else. As it turns out, the OnePlus fan shown in the video is one of the first fans who got a chance to experience the OnePlus 2 hands-on.

Upon playing the YouTube video, the OnePlus 2 fan acknowledges the device is made of “premium materials,” hinting at the possibility of a metal chassis. After talking about the premium look, the video goes into “edited” or “beeped” mode to make sure none of the configurations are revealed prior to the release date. As far as the confirmed OnePlus 2 specifications go, Phone Arena said, the device will come powered by an octa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 810) SoC and backed by a killer 4 GB of RAM configuration. In addition to the standard connectivity options, the handset will apparently support 4G LTE. Notably, this also includes the LTE networks under the U.S. carriers.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 2 will flaunt a fingerprint scanner like Apple and Samsung’s high-end handsets. Furthermore, there will be a 3,300 mAh battery unit along with a USB Type-C connector, and the OnePlus 2 also will be smaller than its predecessor.

The OnePlus 2 will set buyers back by less than $450 for the unlocked version. Meanwhile, interested readers can check out the unique official teaser of the OnePlus 2.
