Multan Adjudication adjourns five seizure cases

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has adjourned hearing of 5 seizure cases forwarded by Anti-Smuggling Organization and Directorate of Customs Intelligence & Investigation.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Abdul Mueed Kanjoo conducted hearing of seizure case of Toyota Vitz, Toyota Fielder and others worth Rs6 million were adjourned after hearing.

During the hearing of most of the cases, the counsels for the accused requested the court to postpone the hearing of their respective cases for preparation of arguments on which the court adjourned the hearings of these cases for different dates.

The hearing of seizure cases was done after adopting special precautionary measures against global pandemic Covid-19 to avoid outspread and counsels along with their clients were instructed to wear face mask during hearing. Temperature was also checked before entrance at the Collectorate with temperature gun. Hand shaking has also been discouraged in Customs Adjudication for protection of people.
