Multan Adjudication concludes hearing of 493 seizure cases of Rs1045.386m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has concluded hearing of 493 dseizure cases worth Rs1045.386 million during first nine months (July –March) of on-going fiscal year 2019-20.

According to the details, these seizure cases were decided by deputy collector, additional collector and collector Customs Adjudication after proceedings of legal trial.

Deputy Collector Abdul Mueed Kanjoo has decided 232 cases worth Rs150.452 million in the first nine months (July to March) after completion of proceedings.

As many as 42 various seizure cases involving Rs26.135 million are still pending in the Customs Adjudication for final verdict in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication has decided the maximum number of customs duty evasion cases as compared to additional collector and collector in the on-going economic year 2019-20.

Additional Collector Sumaira Omer has decided 215 cases of customs duty evasion involving Rs396.308 million framed by the Customs Intelligence & Investigation and Anti-Smuggling Organization in their jurisdiction. As many as 19 seizure cases of Rs38.810 million has been under adjudication.

Collector Customs Adjudication Dr. Akhtar Hussain 46 concluded the hearing of seizure cases worth Rs498.626 million in the first nine months of the current fiscal year 2019-20. Almost 28 various seizure cases of Rs.295.897 million have been available for trial in the Customs Adjudication for the months of April.

Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has decided 493 different seizure cases of worth Rs1045.386 million in the first nine months of the fiscal year 2019-20.

There are still 89 cases of Rs360.842 million pending in the customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office for further proceedings.
