MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has decided 51 seizure cases of involving Rs46.550 million after completion of trial during month of December 2019-20.
According to the details, Customs Adjudication Multan has conducted hearing of different seizure cases for trial during December 2019-20. Customs Adjudication collector, additional Collector and deputy collector conducted trial of these seizure cases according to their authorized power and they adjudicate cases as per their rank and amount of duties and taxes involved in seized miscellaneous goods or vehicles. These seizure cases were detected by Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation and Multan Anti-Smuggling Organization in their different actions in the jurisdiction.
Deputy Collector Customs Abdul Mueed Kanjoo has concluded 44 different seizure cases of Rs27.550 million during month of December 2019-20. Almost 31 new seizure cases of worth Rs26.154 million were added for trial during month of December.
Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Sumaira Omar decided 6 seizure cases which involved revenue of almost Rs11.500 million for the period of December. Additional Collector Customs Adjudication includes different smuggled cases of vehicles and other seized goods. Additional Collector has decided all seizure cases in favour of Customs department after conclusion of trial on the basis of presented evidences. As many as 23 fresh seizure cases of Rs82.527 million were added in the Additional Collector Customs Adjudication court in December.
Collector Adjudication Dr. Akhtar Hussain has decided only one seizure case involving revenue of Rs7.500 million in said period. He settled said case in favour of customs department after completion of trial. While 6 new seizure cases of Rs39 million has been added in the court of Collector Customs Adjudication for legal trial in December 2019-20.
