Multan Adjudication finalizes 46 seizure cases in September

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication finalized 46 seizure cases involving Rs65.684 million during the month of September 2018.

According to details, Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office disposed 46 different cases formed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation during the said period. Customs Adjudication has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in 46 seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings.

Deputy collector settled 27 seizure cases of worth Rs13.502 million throughout September after legal proceedings. Deputy collector settled one seizure case in favor of tax payer during September. Almost 13 fresh seizure cases of Rs6.155 million have been added in the month of September in the Customs Adjudication.

Additional Collector Adjudication Talib Hussain decided 15 seizure cases of worth Rs31.150 million during the month of September 2018-19.

Additional Collector has done only one seizure case in the favour of taxpayer out of 15 after observing facts during trial. Just about 25 new seizure cases of Rs45.395 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication.

Collector Adjudication Asif Abbas Khan settled five seizure cases of worth Rs21.032 million for the duration of September. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. These decided seizures were against violation of rule, misuse of DTRE export facility cases and others. There was only seizure case of worth Rs6.038 million was added during month of September for trial.
