Multan Adjudication finalizes 63 seizure cases worth Rs104.437m in June

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication has finalized 63 seizure cases of worth Rs104.437 million for the month of June in the fiscal year 2018-19.

According to details, Customs Adjudication has concluded the hearing of 22 seizure cases worth Rs8.062 million after their trial during the month of June. These decided seizure cases involved cloth, auto parts, liquor, vehicle and other goods .Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) and Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) have formed these seizure cases in their actions. Customs Adjudication has decided all seizure cases in favour of department after completion. There were 16 new seizure cases of worth Rs9.32 million added for trial in the month of June.

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain has decided 36 seizure cases of worth Rs68.375 million during the month of June.

Additional Collector has settled majority of seizure cases of smuggled vehicles formed by Customs Intelligence and Investigation and Anti-Smuggling Organization in their actions. As many as 39 new seizure cases of worth Rs68.913 million added for trial in the Court of Additional Collector during the month of June.

Collector Customs Adjudication Muhammad Adnan Akram has decided only three seizure cases of worth Rs.28 million in June after proceedings. There are 11 pending cases of Rs180.679 million available in the Court of Collector Customs for trial and one new fresh seizure cases of worth Rs7 million added in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp throughout the month of June in the fiscal year 2018-19.
