Multan Adjudication finalizes 68 cases worth Rs466.588m during December

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office finalized almost 68 various seizure cases involving Rs466.588 million during the month of December2020-21.

The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office disposed 68 different cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation during their various actions. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in 68 various seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled almost 21 various seizure cases of worth Rs.16.598 million throughout December after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy collector Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled two seizure cases in favour of respondents while all other cases were decided in the favour of Customs department. Almost 25 fresh seizure cases of Rs.18.268 million have been added in the month of December in the Customs Adjudication.

Additional Collector Adjudication Sumaira Omer decided 22 various seizure cases of worth Rs.39.048 million throughout the month of December2020-21.Additional Collector has settled all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs after observing facts during trial in December. Near about 18 new seizure cases of Rs.29.776 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during December.

Collector Adjudication Asif Buzdar settled highest number of 21 different seizure cases of worth Rs.410.942 million for the duration of December. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. These decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases and others. As many as 18 different seizure cases of worth Rs.149.680 million was added during said month for legal trial.
