Multan Adjudication issues show cause notice to owner of ceramic tiles

MULTAN: Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain issues show-cause notice to owner of non-duty paid ceramic tiles seized by Customs Intelligence and Investigation.

According to details, Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation seized huge quantity of foreign origin Ceramic tiles on the credible information.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan framed the seizure against seized truck loaded with huge quantity of ceramic tiles in Multan through Dera Ghazi Khan Region. The truck was coming from from Balochistan to Multan for the transportation of non-duty paid ceramic tiles.

Customs Intelligence team searched the suspected truck bearing registration number: QK-721 and recovered huge quantity of ceramic tiles. Customs teams found that recovered ceramic tiles were of Iranian origin.

Customs Intelligence team asked the driver of the truck to produce legal documents of recovered ceramic tiles but he failed to produce any import documents of the recovered tiles to justify the legal possession. Customs Intelligence and Investigation forwarded the seizure case to Customs Adjudication for trial of seized ceramic tiles worth Rs3 million.

Additional Collector Talib Hussain issued show-cause notice to owner Zahoor Ahmad son of Haji Muhammad Khan resident of Quetta in ceramic tiles case and directed him to submit reply of notice within 10 days for further proceedings.
