Multan Adjudication settles 268 seizure cases worth Rs6958.098m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has settled record number of 268 various seizure cases involving Rs6958.098 million during the month of April 2020-21.

The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has conducted speedy disposal of 268 different seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation during their various actions.

Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed record number of seizure cases in April due to speed justice. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in the 268 various seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled almost 22 various seizure cases of worth Rs12.277 million throughout May after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy collector Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled all seizure cases in the favour of Customs department after assessing evidences.

Almost 29 fresh seizure cases of Rs19.198 million have been added in the month of March in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Sumaira Omer decided only four various seizure cases of worth Rs.8 million throughout the month of April 2020-21.Additional Collector has settled all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs after observing facts during trial in April. Near about 2 new seizure cases of Rs.4.500 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during April 2021.

Collector Adjudication Asif Buzdar and Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq settled 242 different seizure cases of worth Rs.6937.871 million for the duration of April. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department.

Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as 156 different seizure cases of worth Rs4484.752 million was added during said month for legal trial.
