MULTAN: The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication has resolved 28 seizure cases involving Rs 54.850 million during September 2015.
Deputy Collector Adjudication Saima Ayyaz has concluded 25 seizure cases out of 28. Almost Rs 10.030 million of revenue was involved in the 25 cases.
These 25 seizure cases of smuggled goods include tyres, cables, accessories, vehicles and auto parts have been decided. One seizure case was decided in the favour of taxpayer out of 25 cases.
Almost three seizure cases involving Rs 44.820 million have been decided by collector Customs Adjudication. One case was decided in the favour of taxpayer and two cases in favour of customs. Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Fayaz Anwar has not decided any case in September.
During the September, Customs Intelligence and Investigation, and Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) forwarded 31 cases involving Rs 278.421 million.
However, 37 seizure cases involving Rs 304.99 million were pending with Customs Adjudication for three months.
