Multan Adjudication settles 33 cases worth Rs66.590m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office decided 33 seizure cases worth Rs66.590 million during the month of October 2020-21.

According to the details, Customs Adjudication has conducted hearing of different seizure cases during the month of October 2020-21.

Customs Adjudication collector, additional collector and deputy collector conducted trial of these seizure cases according to their authorized power to adjudicate cases as per their rank and amount of duties and taxes involved against in seized goods or vehicles.

These seizure cases were detected by Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation and Anti-Smuggling Organization in their different actions.

Deputy Collector Abdul Mueed Kanjoo finalized 17 seizure cases of worth Rs8.860 million during October. These seizure cases were framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization and Customs Intelligence during their various crackdowns in jurisdiction.

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Sumaira Umer decided 9 seizure cases which involved revenue of Rs17.805 million for the period of October.

The decided case of additional Collector Customs Adjudication includes different smuggled cases of vehicles and other seized goods.

Additional collector has decided all seizure cases in favour of Customs department after conclusion of trial on the basis of presented evidences.

As many as 7 fresh seizure cases were added in the court of Additional Collector Customs Adjudication in October for trial.

As many as 28 fresh seizure cases of valuing Rs.372.7 million have been added for trial in October.

Collector Adjudication Asif Buzdar has issued 7 different show cause notices to respondents for trial of worth Rs.117.400 million during October.
