Multan Adjudication settles 35 seizure cases worth Rs386.196m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed 35 seizure cases involving Rs386.196 million during the month of February 2021-22.            

The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 35 seizure cases mounted by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation during their various actions. Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases in February after completion of hearing. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in the 35 various seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan settled only seizure case of worth Rs.0.500 million throughout February after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy collector settled said seizure case in the favour of Customs department after assessing presented evidences. Almost 8 various fresh seizure cases of Rs.7.700 million have been added in the month of February in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.              

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain has decided 11 various seizure cases of worth Rs.21.750 million throughout the month of January 2021-22.Additional Collector has settled all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs department after observing facts during trial in February. Near about 17 new seizure cases of Rs.35.510 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during February 2021-22.              

Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq settled almost 23 different seizure cases of worth Rs.363.946 million for the duration of February 2021-22. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as 16 different seizure cases of worth Rs.363.946 million were added during said month for legal trial.
