Multan Adjudication settles 38 seizure cases involving Rs196.430m during August

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 38 seizure cases involving Rs196.430 million during the month of August 2021-22.

The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 38 different seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation during their various actions. Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases in August after completion of hearing. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in the 38 various seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled almost 10 various seizure cases of worth Rs.7 million throughout August after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy collector Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled 9 seizure cases in the favour of Customs department and one seizure was decided in the favour of taxpayer after assessing presented evidences. Almost 9 various fresh seizure cases of Rs.2.620 million have been added in the month of August in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Sumaira Omer has decided 14 various seizure cases of worth Rs.31.300 million throughout the month of August 2021-22.Additional Collector has settled all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs department after observing facts during trial in July. Near about 7 new seizure cases of Rs.13 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during August 2021-22.

Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq has settled almost 14 different seizure cases of worth Rs.158.130 million for the duration of August. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as 7 different seizure cases of worth Rs.70.200 million were added during month of August for legal trial.
