Multan Adjudication settles 41 seizure cases involving Rs202.395m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has settled 41 seizure cases involving Rs202.395 million during the month of October 2021-22.

The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 41  seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in 41 seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled 22 seizure cases of worth Rs16.228 million throughout October after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy collector Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled all seizure cases in the favour of Customs department after assessing presented evidences. Almost 40 various fresh seizure cases of Rs.31.204 million have been added in the month of October in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain has decided 8 various seizure cases of worth Rs17.900 million throughout the month of October 2020-21. Additional Collector has settled all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs department after observing facts during trial in October. Near about 4 new seizure cases of Rs.6.80 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during October 2021-22.

Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq settled 10 seizure cases of worth Rs168.257 million in October. All these seizure cases were decided in favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as 20 seizure cases of worth Rs. 127.540 million was added during said month for legal trial.
