MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed 50 seizure cases involving Rs.242.975 million during the month of March 2021-22.
The Collectorate disposed of 50 different seizure cases mounted by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation. Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases in March after completion of hearing. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in the 50 seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.
Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan settled 14 seizure cases worth Rs7.500 million throughout March after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy collector settled said seizure case in the favour of Customs department after assessing presented evidences. Almost 26 various fresh seizure cases of Rs.23.180 million have been added in the month of March in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.
Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain has decided 21 seizure cases of worth Rs.44.520 million throughout the month of March 2021-22. Additional Collector has settled all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs department after observing facts during trial in March. Near about 19 new seizure cases of Rs.37.126 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during March 2021-22.
Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq settled almost 15 different seizure cases of worth Rs.190.955 million for the duration of March 2021-22. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as 15 different seizure cases of worth Rs.181.033 million were added during said month for legal trial.
