Multan Adjudication settles 51 seizure cases involving Rs118.475m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has settled 51 seizure cases involving Rs118.475 million during the month of November 2022-23.                  

According to the details, Collectorate of Customs Adjudication has settled exactly 51 seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation.

Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases in November after completion of hearing. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in the 40 various seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.                    

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Aneeqa Afzal settled 37 various seizure cases of worth Rs.43.337 million throughout month November of the economic year 2022-23 after finishing legal proceedings. Deputy collector settled said seizure case in the favour of Customs department after assessing presented evidences. Almost 45 various fresh seizure cases of Rs.56.805 million have been added in the month of November in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.                    

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain has decided 10 various seizure cases of worth Rs.34.811 million throughout the month of November 2022-23. Additional Collector has settled 9 seizure cases in the favor of Customs department after witnessing facts during trial in November. Near about 15 cases of almost Rs.50.063 million new seizure cases were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during November 2022-23.                    

Collector Muhammad Zahid Masood Abbasi settled 4 different seizure cases of worth Rs.40.327 million for the duration of November 2022-23. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as 21 different seizure cases of worth Rs.301.974 million were added during said month for legal trial.
