Multan Adjudication settles 52 cases involving Rs173.451m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has settled 52 seizure cases involving Rs.173.451 million during the month of August 2022-23.                 

The Collectorate has disposed exactly 34 seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation during their operations. Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases in August after completion of hearing. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in the 52various seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Aneeqa Afzal settled 36 seizure cases of worth Rs33.436 million throughout first month of the August during economic year 2022-23 after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy collector settled said seizure case in the favour of Customs department after assessing presented facts and evidences. Just 9 various fresh seizure cases of Rs.6.360 million have been added in the month of August in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.                   

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain has decided 7 various seizure cases of worth Rs.20.950 million throughout the month of August 2022-23. Additional Collector has settled 6 various seizure cases in the favor of Customs department after observing facts during trial in August. Near about 6 various cases of almost Rs.17.950 million new seizure cases were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during August 2022-23.                   

Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq settled 8 different seizure cases of worth Rs.119.065 million for the duration of August 2022-23. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as seven different seizure cases of worth Rs.145.500 million were added during August for legal trial in Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.
