Multan Adjudication settles 56 seizure cases involving Rs278.076m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed 56 various seizure cases involving Rs278.076 million during the month of January 2021-22.           

The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 56 different seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation during their various actions. Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases in December after completion of hearing. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in the 58 various seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication settled almost 4 seizure cases of worth Rs.3.876 million throughout January after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy collector settled all seizure cases in the favour of Customs department after assessing presented evidences. Almost 4 various fresh seizure cases of Rs3.376 million have been added in the month of January in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.             

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain has decided 38 various seizure cases of worth Rs82.500 million throughout the month of January 2020-21. Additional Collector has settled all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs department except one seizure after observing facts during trial in December. Near about 65 new seizure cases of Rs.65.500 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during January 2021-22.             

Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq settled almost 16 different seizure cases of worth Rs.191.700 million for the duration of January2021-22. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as 20 different seizure cases of worth Rs. 346.467 million were added during said month for legal trial.
