MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed 78 seizure cases involving Rs.242.574 million during the month of December 2021-22.
The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 78 different seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation. Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases in December after completion of hearing. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in the 78 various seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.
Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication settled 23 seizure cases of worth Rs18.786 million throughout December after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy collector settled all seizure cases in the favour of Customs department after assessing presented evidences. Almost 11 various fresh seizure cases of Rs.8.450 million have been added in the month of December in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.
Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain has decided 46 various seizure cases of worth Rs.83.850 million throughout the month of December 2020-21.Additional Collector has settled all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs department except one seizure after observing facts during trial in December. Near about 21 new seizure cases of Rs.40.450 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during December 2021-22.
Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq settled almost 9 different seizure cases of worth Rs.139.938 million for the duration of December. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as 18 different seizure cases of worth Rs. 186.304 million was added during said month for legal trial.
