MULTAN: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation has seized 1,000 sets of DVD players worth Rs 1.2 million during a raid in industrial area.
According to the details, the Multan ASO received information that a huge quantity of smuggled DVD players is laying at a private warehouse. Deputy Collector Muhammad Ali Malik following information formed a team comprising Rana Muhammad Altaf, Muhammad Ali Rizvi and others to conduct a raid.
The anti-smuggling squad raided the warehouse and recovered Malaysian origin DVD players. The officials seized the items considering them smuggled one.
The officials were investigating the case to trace the owner of the recovered items. As per initial investigations, the warehouse was rented out by the owner to the alleged smuggler.
