Multan ASO seizes smuggled vehicles, goods worth millions of rupees in January

MULTAN: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized nine vehicles and miscellaneous goods worth Rs 12.05 million during anti-smuggling activities in January.

Sources told Customs Today that the ASO  formed 13 seizure cases during the month in various actions in which nine foreign origin vehicles were seized. The seized vehicles include Toyota Hilux Surf, Toyota Vitz and others worth Rs 10.90 million.

Four seizure cases were detected by the ASO in which cabin with gear box, art silk cloth and ready-made garments were seized .The miscellaneous goods were also seized on non-payment of duty and taxes.

However, the ASO has changed their strategy against smugglers and their non-customs paid goods and vehicles to curb smuggling from its jurisdiction.

Moreover, the ASO seized other smuggled goods worth Rs 12.05 million by conducting various anti-smuggling operations during January .
