Multan ASO impounds coaster van worth Rs 3m

MULTAN: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) has impounded a Toyota Coaster van cleared under the vehicle amnesty scheme of 2001.

The ASO staff captured the coaster van bearing Registration No. LES-15-7864 from the Aziz Hotel Chowk Multan in an operation, as the said vehicle was in the list of illegally cleared vehicles under the vehicle amnesty scheme. The customs has issued the list of vehicles, which were cleared illegally.

The seized vehicle was included in the list issued by the customs and recovered from the possession of a private company. The value of the said vehicle is estimated at Rs 3 million.

The ASO team has prepared a seizure report of the vehicle after completing the legal formalities that will be sent to adjudication for further legal action.
