MULTAN: Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has confiscated the smuggled firecrackers worth Rs 780,000 from a goods transport’s warehouse in Multan.
Sources informed that Anti-Smuggling Organization on tip-off raided the warehouse of a goods transport company namely as Multan-Dera-Karachi Goods Company located in Multan and recovered 15 sacks filled with firecrackers. They informed that Inspector Saleem Khan conducted the operation and seized the firecracker sticks.
It is important to mention here that government has imposed a ban on the use of firecrackers in the country taking the security measures.
An FIR has been lodged while further investigation is underway, sources added.
