MULTAN: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized various foreign origins items, including black tea, welding electrodes, LED pencils during a successful action.
According to details, the ASO has found smuggled goods during their routine surveillance near Sher Shah Bypass. During the checking of vehicles, the customs team searched a Mazda truck and found non-customs paid seven LEDs, 130 kilograms of black tea and 660 kilograms welding electrodes. At least 172 welding rods were recovered.
The ASO has also recovered two smuggled engines of vehicles and 10 HTV tyres of the vehicles. Customs teams seized the items on non-availability of import documents. Multan Customs has compiled the advance information report of the seized goods and further investigation is under process.
