Multan Customs & ASF recovers bullets from Sharjah bound passenger

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs team deputed at Multan International Airport with coordination of Airport Security Force recovered bullets from a Sharjah-bound passenger.

Sources told Customs Today that during the checking of luggage of the Sharjah-bound female passenger, Zainab Bibi six bullets were found from her possession. Multan Customs staff recovered six bullets at the time of scanning of luggage and informed Airport Security Force for further assistance after bullets recovery.

Multan Customs handed over the female passenger to airport security officials for further investigation into the matter. Said Passenger admitted her mistake that bullets came into his luggage mistakenly and she informed that she has licensed weapon at home. Bullets were packed in the baggage.

However, the woman was allowed to board a Sharjah bound flight Air Arabia (G9-559) after she told satisfied the officials that the bullets were erroneously placed in the luggage.
