Multan Customs collects Rs 4.4b in January

MULTAN: The Model of Customs Collectorate collected Rs 4.425 billion revenue during the month of January in the current fiscal year 2015-16.

As per details, it collected Rs 2.358 billion in wake of sales taxes against the set target of Rs 2.603 billion during the said period and achieved the target up to 91 percent.

In January 2016, the Multan Customs collected Rs 584 million under the head of customs duty against the set target of Rs 1049.39 million and faced shortfall up to 45 percent.

It also collected Rs 21.492 million as federal excise duty against the set revenue target of Rs 10.42 million, while Rs 83.84 million were collected under the head of withholding tax against the set target of Rs 41.22 million in January.
