Multan Customs collects Rs 4.7b against Rs 2.9b in February

MULTAN: The Model of Customs Collectorate has surpassed the revenue target, as it collected Rs 4.767 billion against the assigned target of Rs 2.992 billion during February.

It generated Rs 261.857 million in the wake of customs duty against the assigned the target of Rs 797.58 million and achieved its target up to 33 percent.

The collectorate also collected Rs 3.506 billion against the assigned target okf Rs 2.158 billion and surpassed its target by collecting 62 percent more revenue. It collected income tax amounting to Rs 18.139 million. Under the head of federal excise duty, it collected Rs 21.544 million against the assigned target of Rs.4.040 million.

During the month of February, the Multan Customs did not collect any revenue from petroleum development levy and additional sales tax, while it witnessed rise in the overall revenue generation due to handsome collection of sales tax, federal excise duty and income taxes.
