Multan Customs detains loaded container for scrutiny ‏

MULTAN: Customs Intelligence and Investigation has detained a loaded container with paper and cards for scrutiny of documents.

According to details, Customs Intelligence team checked the imported consignment during routine vigilance of the goods. The staff checked the container loaded on the vehicle bearing registration number Z-7655/Peshawar. The Customs team have captured the loaded container near Khanewal bypass Multan.

Due to suspect of smuggling Customs team asked them to produce documents and driver who was identified as Saeed Shah provided the import documents on demand of Customs team. The said container was full of paper pulp imported from China and it was cleared from Port Qasim.

Customs teams took the container in the warehouse of the Customs Intelligence office for its verification and physical checking of import goods for its verification.

During physical verification, Customs teams is measuring the weight of the paper and cards loaded on the Container to check its original quantity  and the verification process was still under process in the Customs Intelligence office.
