Multan Customs detains truck loaded with alloy rims‏

MULTAN: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has detained a truck loaded with used alloy rims on the suspicions of smuggling.

According to details, the Customs have captured a Mazda truck near Multan Bypass and found used rims of the various vehicles during the search. The detained vehicle bears registration number SGS 1420.  The Customs staff asked the owner of the vehicle to produce legal documents of the rims on he provided the supporting invoices.

The Customs Intelligence and Investigation is verifying the documents and started counting of the rims. More than 1,000 rims were loaded on the vehicles and the customs assessment of the goods is still underway. Further action will be taken after verification of documents.
