Multan Customs disposes of cases involving Rs155.244m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed 40 seizure cases involving Rs155.244 million during the month of September 2022-23.                  

The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed exactly 40 seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation. Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases in October after completion of hearing. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in the 40 various seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Aneeqa Afzal settled 29 various seizure cases of worth Rs.31.027 million throughout month September of the economic year 2022-23 July after finishing legal proceedings. Deputy collector settled said seizure case in the favour of Customs department after assessing presented evidences. Almost 31 various fresh seizure cases of Rs.33.457 million have been added in the month of September in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.                    

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain has decided 6 various seizure cases of worth Rs.17.782 million throughout the month of September 2022-23.Additional Collector has settled 5 seizure cases in the favor of Customs department after witnessing facts during trial in September. Near about 10 cases of almost Rs.33.442 million new seizure cases were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during September 2022-23.                    

Collector Muhammad Zahid Masood Abbasi settled 8 different seizure cases of worth Rs.112.099 million for the duration of September 2022-23. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as five different seizure cases of worth Rs112.099 million were added during said month for legal trial.
