Multan Customs earns Rs 4.5m through auction of vehicles, goods

MULTAN: The Model of Customs Collectorate has generated Rs 4.55 million through the auction of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods.

The confiscated items were presented for open auction at the Multan Customs State Warehouse, where the vehicles including Toyota Sierra Jeep, Toyota Vitz, Toyota Corolla X, Toyota Land Cruiser and Suzuki Heavy bike remained the center of attraction for the people. However, another vehicle, Toyota Hilux Surf could not be sold due to lower bids.

The miscellaneous goods, including 40,000 liters of petroleum products, auto parts, old and used tyres and huge quantity of seized cell phones were also presented for auction, while numbers of items were not sold due to low bidding offers. The confiscated cell phones of Nokia and Samsung were not auctioned due to absence of authorized cellular companies.

As a whole, the impounded vehicles and other miscellaneous goods fetched Rs 4.55 million.

The auction was conducted under the supervision of Multan Customs (HQ) Deputy Collector Multan Ali Malik along with Superintendent Tanvir Malik, Inspector Rana Irshad, and Inspector Mirza Shahid Nawaz Baig.
