Multan Customs handles exports worth Rs 4,698 million during September

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate handled 45 export consignments involving Rs 4,698 million from Multan Dry Port in September.

Sources told Customs Today that increase in export volume has been witnessed at the Multan Dry Port and Muzaffargarh export terminal. The major items exported from the Multan Dry Port are cotton yarn, garments, leathers shoes, leather and thread.

Cotton yarn is the main export item with a volume of Rs 2785 million in the month of September for the existing fiscal year 2016-17. The export of fabric clothes from Multan Dry Port was almost Rs 780 million during the month.

Shoes uppers made up of leather and traditional leather goods contain the export value of almost Rs.327 million during the month of September.

Textile made up consist of Rs115 million and remaining other export items includes the amount of Rs546 million in the month of September.
