Multan Customs facilitating exporters round the clock for clearance of their shipments

MULTAN: The Model Customs Collectorate facilitating exporters round the clock for the clearance of their export shipments which results into upsurge in export.

According to details, Multan Customs handled various export consignments involving worth Rs.731.69 million from Multan Dry Port due to their exclusive export facilitates during the month of October.

Multan Customs Dry Port is the only port available in the region for business community which facilitates exporters of the South Punjab for their export batches. Multan Dry Port is facilitating the exporters round the clock for clearance of their export shipments. Multan Customs has established the special export terminal at Muzaffargarh for facilitation of exporters.

Sources told Customs Today that increase in export volume has been witnessed at the Multan Dry Port and Muzaffargarh export terminal during the month of October due to timely clearance services of customs. The major items exported from the Multan Dry Port are cotton yarn, garments, leathers shoes, leather and thread.

Exporters exported cotton yarn with a volume of Rs6.1 million during the month of October for the existing Fiscal Year 2017-18. The export of clothes has been enhanced from Multan Dry Port and it exported almost Rs269.92 million during the month of October.

The Model Customs Collectorate handled bulk quantity of export consignments of shoes uppers made up of leather and traditional leather goods contain the value of almost Rs139.98 million during the month of October.

There are several textile units located in the South Punjab which manufacture garments, cloths and others and these units utilized export facility of Multan Dry Port for their goods export.

Textile made up consist of Rs26.98 million and remaining other export items includes the amount of Rs268.77 million in the month of October.
