Multan Customs generates Rs.127m from July to Feb

MULTAN: Collecotorate of Customs Preventive  generated Rs127 million during first eight months (July -February)of the on-going economic year 2019-20 through successful bidding of non-duty paid smuggled vehicles and miscellaneous goods.

The Federal Board of Revenue has assigned Rs50 million monthly revenue target to the Collectorate from auction of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods.  Multan Customs generated Rs127 million from auction of vehicles and miscellaneous goods during (July to February) 2019-20. Multan Customs hold auction of confiscated vehicles and various miscellaneous goods every month which were seized by Anti-Smuggling Organization in their different actions in the territory.

The auction of the non-customs paid miscellaneous goods and vehicles were carried out at Multan Dry Port near Shershah Bypass. As many as 57 different vehicles of various models were successfully auctioned in the public sale including different models and brands. Multan Customs Preventive sold out 57 vehicles in almost worth Rs.58 million during eight different auctions.

Multan Customs Preventive sold 60 lots in Rs69 million during on-going auctions after their successful bid. Customs offered  various lots of electronics, High Speed Diesel and POL products, auto scrap of dismantled vehicles and seized branded cell phones lots  in the auctions but these lots were rejected in the public sale due to lack of public attention.
