Multan Customs generates Rs1.18m through auction

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs generated Rs1.18 million through the auction of the confiscated goods and vehicles lying at the State Warehouse.

According to details, the Collectorate held first auction of the on-going economic year for confiscated vehicles and goods and displayed auction banners outside Multan Customs House and dry port to attract buyers. The Collectorate conducted auction at Multan Dry Port near Sher Shah Bypass.

Multan Customs has presented only one foreign origin impounded vehicles of Toyota Hilux Surf of model 1990 and it was successfully sold out in Rs768,000 during auction.

Multan Customs has also presented 34 lots of goods including cell phones of Apple I-phone 6, Mobile Eyewear recorder goggles, Android Tv Box, TV converter, digital video camera electronic goods, auto parts, foreign origin cloths in roll shape, CCTV cameras, LCDs, brake handle module, Dental surgical tools, PVC coated fabrics roll, two lots of 77,000 liters POL Products and High Speed Diesel , different engines, spare parts, LED Lamps ,computer parts ,mobile accessories, wrist watch, Chocolates ,machine made carpets and other miscellaneous goods.

Multan Customs sold out only one lot of foreign origin tyres in Rs350, 000 and remaining lots of miscellaneous lots were rejected due to fewer bids offered from public from their reserved price. Offered miscellaneous goods and vehicles were seized by Anti-Smuggling Organization in their different action from jurisdictions.

Assistant Collector Multan Dry Port Muhammad Fahad Jamil supervised whole the auction process of confiscated goods and vehicles along with other staff of Multan Customs.
