Multan Customs generates Rs138.463m from various auctions

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate has generated almost Rs138.463 million from the auction of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods through different auctions in the on-going fiscal year 2016-17.

According to details, Multan Customs has generated handsome revenue through public sale of non-duty paid (NDP) vehicles and various miscellaneous items during monthly auction held in Custom House Multan.

The Customs Collectorate Multan has conducted nine various monthly auctions of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods from July to June of the fiscal year 2016-17. Multan Customs have observed boost in revenue generation through auction of confiscated vehicles and various articles. These seized vehicles and miscellaneous goods were seized by Anti-Smuggling Organization in their massive anti-smuggling operations in the jurisdiction.

The Customs Collectorate has generated Rs73.732 million from various auctions of miscellaneous goods during economic year of 2016-17. Multan Customs has taken few steps for the generation of additional revenue through auction of confiscation of miscellaneous goods and non-duty paid vehicles in the jurisdiction.

The revenue generated by Multan Customs during whole fiscal year 2016-17 supports Collectorate in meeting their assigned revenue collection. These presented seized items and non-duty paid vehicles for auction for the disposal after the conclusion of their legal trial in the Customs Adjudication.
