Multan Customs generates Rs3.5m through re-auction of perishable goods

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement & Compliance) generated Rs3.5 million from re-auction of perishable goods lying at the State Ware House.

The Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement & Compliance) has carried special auction for the disposal of perishable goods to generate revenue.

Multan Customs carried out special auction after ensuring special precautionary measures to prevent public from corona spread-out and participants of auction wear face mask and follow instructions for social distance during auction.

Multan Customs offer 5 different lots of almonds, chocolates, raisins, UHT creams and other perishable food items in the auction.

Multan Customs successfully sold out three lots of almonds without shell of Iran and USA origins of almost 4355 kilograms and 2900 kilogram dried plums, raisin of Iran origin and raisin of 2700 Kilogram and 350 kilograms of almond without shells.

While Chocolates (Hiss) brand of 198 cartons with 42768 pieces and 4 cartons of UHT cream and Chocolate assorted flavor of 3312 bars and Milk Cream 200 ML of 3072 pieces were rejected during auction due to fewer prices offered.

Assistant Collector Umer Sajjad supervised the whole process of auction at Multan Dry Port along with other staff to ensure transparency.
