Multan Customs generates Rs6.6m through auction of seized goods and non-duty paid vehicles

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate Multan earned Rs.6.6 million of revenue through auction of seized goods and non-duty paid vehicles.

As per details, Multan Customs held auction of seized vehicles and various confiscated goods  on the open public sale at Customs House Multan.

Multan Customs presented 13 various foreign origin seized vehicles in auction including Toyota Fielder, Toyota Premio, Toyota Vitz, Suzuki Alto, Toyota Hilux Surf, Honda Civic, Nissan Sunny ,Toyota Corolla G,Toyota Town Ace van and others. All presented lots of seized vehicles were sold out successfully except Toyota Hiace van due to higher bids in the auction.

The value of the twelve confiscated vehicles during auction was almost Rs.6.245 million. The bidders have shown less interest in the bidding of other miscellaneous goods due to high value other than the market price.

The Customs Collectorate Multan has offered based oil (Iran origin),new and used tyres of HTV and LTV, auto parts of the vehicles, accessories of the mobile phones including their power banks, cosmetic items, cell phones scrap of dismantled vehicles, cigarettes and plastic bags, cigarettes ,curtain rolls, CCTV  cameras, LEDs and other goods.

The curtain rolls and LEDs were sold out in Rs.354,000  and other bids for the miscellaneous goods were rejected due to fewer bid in the auction process.

All the presented goods and vehicles in public sale was seized by Anti-Smuggling Organization Multan in their various actions in jurisdiction.  Additional Collector Multan Ghulam Mustafa and Deputy Collector Saad Atta Rabbani held the auction of the confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods.
