Multan Customs generates Rs62.614m revenue during Feb

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement has collected almost Rs.62.614 million under the heads of customs duty, sales tax and income tax during the month of February 2022-23.      

According to the details, Multan Customs Enforcement was assigned Rs47.75 million of customs duty collection task for the month of February 2022-23. Multan Customs made customs duty collection of t Rs.52.14 million.

Multan Customs collected almost 109 % of assigned Customs duty task during the period of February. According to statistics available with Customs Today, substantial increase in revenue generation was recorded. Multan Customs collected Rs.32.65 million in wake of Customs duty during the corresponding year. Multan Customs Collectorate has collected almost Rs.4.034 million under the head of Sales tax during month of February in on-going fiscal year 2022-23. While Multan Customs collected Rs2.85 million during corresponding fiscal year 2021-22.

Multan Customs has collected almost Rs6.44 million under the head of income tax during February in the existing financial year 2022-23. Tax Collection data witnesses increase in revenue collection under the supervision of Collector Tahir Ali due to his effective strategy.

Customs Duty collection was enhanced in the Collectorate due to administrative measures like auction, Anti-smuggling, as well as crediting of seized/confiscated currency into National Bank of Pakistan.     

Sources told day that Multan Customs Enforcement department collected revenue more than proposed target because we as Multan Customs ensured transparency, automation of processes and maximize ease of doing business.
