Multan Customs generates Rs7.820m through auction of NDP goods, vehicles

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate has generated Rs7.820 million through the auction of confiscated vehicles and other miscellaneous goods.

According to details, Multan Customs hold public auction of foreign origin confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous smuggled goods in the Multan Customs House. Multan Customs displayed banners outside Customs House to attract public in the auction process.

Confiscated vehicles were main point of attraction during auction of Multan Customs. Multan Customs offered seven non-customs paid confiscated vehicles during auction for public and all these seven confiscated vehicles were sold successfully during public sale. Confiscated vehicles put forward for auction includes Toyota Mark X, Toyota Corolla X, Suzuki Alto, Mazda Opel truck and three vehicles of Toyota Hilux Surf.

These confiscated vehicles were sold in Rs6.525 million during public auction. Toyota Mark X got highest bid of Rs1.750 million during the auction of confiscated vehicles. Bidder shown keen interest in the bid of vehicles and all vehicles were auctioned in this process.

Multan Customs offered 19 various lots of goods including used auto parts, electronics goods, dismantled vehicles, art silk cloth, tyres and others.

Multan Customs sold 14  lots of auto parts, electronics and other articles in Rs1.295 million during public auction and other lots of miscellaneous goods were rejected due to less interest of participants. All these confiscated vehicles and goods produced in the auction were seized by the Customs Anti-Smuggling Organizations in their different actions in the jurisdiction.

Auctioneer Rana Muhammad Akram conducted the auction of confiscated vehicles and other miscellaneous goods at Multan Customs House. While Assistant Collector Zohaib Sandhila has supervised whole auction process at Multan Customs House along with other staff.
