Special ceremony held to pay homage to customs seopys martyred in Dera Ismail Khan.

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Multan has organized a special ceremony to pay homage to martyred sepys shot dead in Dera Ismail Khan during performing duty.

It is pertinent to mention here that three officials of the customs department were killed after assailants who were riding motorcycles opened fire on them on Dera-Zhob road near Kulachi area on Monday.

Unidentified gunmen attacked an anti-smuggling squad of the customs department during routine patrol near Kulachi and escaped. The attack left three customs officials, identified as Farooq Jan, a resident of Tank, and Fahad Bashir, a resident of Karak, dead on the spot while the third, Farooq Khan, a resident of Lakki Marwat, died on way to hospital.

Three Customs Department officials lost their lives while performing counter-smuggling duty on Dera-Zhob road near Kulachi. Multan Customs Enforcement & Compliance (E&C) has organized special prayer in the Customs House. All the employees and officers of the Customs House arranged Qur’an khwani.

Collector Multan Customs Imran Ahmad Chaudhry has prayed for the martyred employees and promised to eliminate the menace of smugglers in society. All employees and officials strictly observed Covid-19 SOPs by wearing facemask and following social distance during special prayers.
