Multan Customs impounds non customs paid Honda Civic

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Preventive team impounded non-customs paid vehicles of worth Rs.1.6 million in their action.

According to details, Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization received credible information from their source that smuggled vehicles will be carried out through Multan route.

Acting upon the said information, Deputy Collector Multan Customs Saqib-ur-Rehman formed special team of Anti-Smuggling Organization on the direction of Collector Ambreen Ahmad to intercept said vehicle.

Inspector Tahir Iqbal, Inspector Ayyaz Mahmood, Muhammad Irfan Qureshi and Abdul Sattar participated in the action to foil the attempt of the smuggling of non-duty paid vehicles. Deputy Collector Saqib-ur-Rehman supervised the whole action of anti-smuggling Organization.

Anti-smuggling squad intercepted the suspected Honda Civic car from Chowk Maitla in their patrolling in the region. Driver of said vehicle was asked to produce documents of vehicle but he failed to produce any documents to prove its legal possession.

Anti-smuggling squad seized the Honda Civic of Model 2008. The seized vehicle non-customs paid and worth almost Rs.1.6 million. A further investigation against seized vehicle is still under way.
