MULTAN: Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized a tampered vehicles during an action.
According to details, a customs team seized a Toyota Vitz from Muzaffargarh region near Chowk Qureshiwala on the suspicion of smuggling. The Customs Intelligence field staff asked the driver to produce documents of the vehicle bearing registration number AAN -894/ Quetta. But the driver of the vehicle failed to produce any evidence regarding the legal import and lawful possession of the vehicle.
The Customs teams decided to detain the vehicle and shifted the same to the Customs Intelligence and Investigation office for further verification. During the verification of the vehicle, customs teams found that the chassis number of the said vehicle was tampered .Customs Intelligence and Investigation seized the tampered vehicle under Customs act 1969.
