Multan Customs Intelligence impounds Toyota Corolla worth Rs 1.2m

MULTAN: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan has impounded a smuggled vehicle worth Rs 1.2 million in the Dera Ghazi Khan region during an action.

According to the details, Additional Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan, Nisar Ahmad has deputed officials to curb smuggling in the region of Kohe Suleman.

Field Intelligence Unit (FIU) of Dera Ghazi Khan was monitoring the vehicles coming from the Koh e Suleman following the directions of high ups.

Customs Intelligence captured a smuggled vehicle, Toyota Corolla G bearing the registration No. LEB-07-29.Customs staff asked the owner of the vehicle to provide legal evidence of its vehicle possession.

But the owner of the vehicle failed to provide any documents to the customs staff on which customs officials impounded the Toyota Corolla vehicle on the spot. The value of the seized vehicle is almost Rs 1.2 million and the duty/taxes involved in the said vehicle are almost Rs 1 million.
