Multan Customs refunds Rs1.385m to auction winner

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Multan has recently facilitated the return of Rs1.385 million to a successful bidder following an auction held on December 27, 2023. The bidder, Khalid Khan resident of Dera Ismail Khan, secured the highest bid for Lot No. 89/2023, which featured a pre-owned Suzuki Swift car.

Deputy Collector Fareed-Ud-Din Masood confirmed that the bid was rejected under the Customs Rules, 2001, prompting the refund of the earnest money amounting to Rs300,000, deposited by Khalid Khan. The refund payment order, authorized by Deputy Collector Fareed-Ud-Din Masood, is subject to post-refund audit and verification of the claimant’s original CNIC.
