Multan Customs seized 10 vehicles & goods of Rs.27.4m in three weeks

MULTAN: The Model Customs Collectorate Anti-Smuggling Organization has seized non-duty-paid vehicles and miscellaneous goods of worth approximately Rs27.4 million during the first 22 days of December.

According to details, Multan Customs Anti-smuggling Organization has carried out various anti-smuggling operations on the basis of credible information in the jurisdiction during first twenty two days of December in current fiscal year 2017-18.

The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Multan impounded ten various smuggled vehicles including three Toyota Vitz, two Hinda Civic, two Toyota Land Cruiser, one Mitsubishi Pajero ,Toyota Hilux Surf and one Suzuki.

These impounded vehicles were intercepted from Dera Ghazi Khan, Sakhi Sarwar and Multan region during crackdown of Anti-Smuggling Organization in the first twenty two days of on-going month December. Few impounded vehicles are found tampered and non-tampered. Multan Customs teams have also seized huge quantity of smuggled cigarettes of branded cigarettes of Pine, Dunhill and Benson from the goods office near Hassan Parwana Road during their actions.

Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization has enhanced the patrolling in the suspected routes adopted for smuggling in the jurisdiction to curb smuggling. Anti-Smuggling Organization is playing its vital role in the elimination of smuggling in Jurisdiction due to their crackdowns and promoting illegitimate business.
