Multan Customs seized Toyota Hilux Surf

MULTAN: Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization has impounded foreign origin smuggled vehicle of worth Rs.1.5 million in their action.

According to details, Anti-Smuggling Organization squad received information that foreign origin smuggled vehicle will be transported through Multan to Faisalabad. Anti-Smuggling Organization formed special teams including Inspector Rana Mujtaba Noon, Inspector Abdul Samad, Muhammad Yousaf and others to prevent any attempt of smuggling from region

Customs Anti-Smuggling staff deputed at the suspected routes of the various region and enhanced the monitoring of the routes to impound smuggled vehicle. Customs teams intercepted the suspected Toyota Hilux Surf near Alipur having registration number MNA -82 of Model 2015.

Customs asked  the owner of said vehicle to produce documents of the vehicle to prove legal possession of  vehicle. Customs staff found documents of the vehicles documents suspected during examination and verified the registration documents from vehicle registration authority.

During verification of vehicles, it was found that documents was forged and Customs teams seized the Toyota Hilux Surf under Customs Act 1969 . The net value of vehicle is almost worth Rs.1.5 million after verification.
