Multan Customs seizes 10,000 liters of HSD near Sher Shah

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Preventive Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) seized 10,000 liters of smuggled High Speed Diesel during their operation near Sher Shah.

Sources told Customs Today that Anti-Smuggling Organization received credible information from their source that oil tanker loaded with smuggled High Speed Diesel will moved from Muzaffargarh region to Multan.

Deputy Collector Maqbool Ahmad Baloch formed special team of Anti-Smuggling Organization to intercept smuggled High Speed Diesel. Anti-Smuggling team was comprised of Inspector Abdul Samad and others to take action against smuggled High Speed Diesel.

Anti-smuggling squad started the patrolling of suspected routes and seized the suspected oil tanker filled with High Speed Diesel .Customs staff found in their examination that oil tanker was filled with 10,000 liters High Speed Diesel (HSD) oil and driver was asked to produce import documents of said petroleum products and its oil tanker.

Driver of said oil tanker failed to produce any legal documents of the said High Speed Diesel and customs team seized the oil tanker with filled HSD and formed seizure report against non-customs paid Oil Tanker and recovered High Speed Diesel.

The net worth of seized HSD Rs1.5 million and value of oil tanker was almost Rs2.5 million. Further proceeding are still underway till the filing of this report.
