MULTAN: Anti-Smuggling Organization Multan has seized Rs 4 million worth of two non-customs paid Toyota Premio from Dera Ghazi Khan Region. The duty taxes of both vehicles were almost Rs 5 million.
Sources told Customs Today that the Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization Multan has conducted operations in various locations of Dera Ghazi Khan region near Koh-e Sulemani routes after movement of suspicious vehicles was observed near Baluchistan-Punjab border.
Anti-Smuggling team was established comprising of Inspector Haq Nawaz, Abdul Samad and Arshad and other members after receiving special information. Customs team members were deployed in various routes to thwart the attempt of vehicles smuggling.
The seized Toyota Premio vehicles were bearing registration number of BG-500/Islamabad and LED-3390. Customs found forged documents of the said seized vehicles during verification from Motor Vehicle registering authority.
