Multan Customs seizes Cashew Kernels of worth Rs1.2m

MULTAN: Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization seized huge quantity of foreign origin of Cashew Kernels from Faisalabad region.

Multan Customs Collectorate Preventive received credible information from the source that huge quantity of Cashew Kernels will be transported through Jhang region to Faisalabad.

Anti-smuggling squad intercepted a suspected truck loaded with foreign origin Cashew Kernels near Faisalabad region. Anti-Smuggling Organization team recovered 300 Kilograms of Indian origin Cashew Kernels

Customs teams asked the driver of the said truck to provide legal documents of the foreign origin almonds.

Upon failure of driver in providing any import documents regarding the import of the almonds.

Customs teams decided to seize Cashew Kernels after thorough examination. Anti-Smuggling squad seized Cashew Kernels under Customs Act 1969.Further investigations were under process. The total worth of the seized Cashew Kernels was almost Rs.1.2 million and duty taxes of Rs1 million.
